For items due on or after September 21, 2004 library fines will begin accruing immediately at $0.50 per day with a 4-day grace period. You will be billed a replacement charge and a non-refundable $20 billing fee when an item is 21 days overdue. We will send a courtesy email due date notice 2 days before your items are due.
For reserve materials, library fines will continue to accrue at an hourly rate of $2.50 the first hour, then $0.50 per hour. After 57 hours, a non-refundable $30 billing fee will be charged in addition to the fine. To avoid fines, reserve items must be returned to the library from which they were checked out. All other items may be returned at any UW library.
All UW items that circulate more than 14 days may be renewed an unlimited number of times online. Items that circulate 14 days or less can be renewed 3 times online and then must be brought back to a library. Remember, items can be renewed online.
