Health Sciences Library Learning Commons STF Survey
Your reply to this survey helps us prioritize our Student Technology Fee (STF) proposal requests. Please take this opportunity to express your opinion and to provide support for STF funding for Learning Commons updates.
Background: Equipment and software in the Learning Commons are primarily funded by the $40/quarter Student Technology Fee you pay. Campus organizations submit proposals to the STF committee to determine how your money is spent. Specific proposals have no impact on the amount of the fee.
Workstations in the Learning Commons have been replaced on a staggered 4-year rotation. This year the workstations in the drop-in area were replaced. In two years we will request that all of the classroom stations be replaced. So, at any time, students always have the option of using equipment that is less than two years old. This is an "off" year for major equipment purchases. So we're concentrating on smaller requests such as software, and a few pieces of peripheral hardware.
