You receive an email with information on an interesting journal article. You click on the link and are asked to login to a resource you know is licensed by the UW libraries. In most cases this message is because you haven’t been verified as a UW user. How can you do this quickly? Use the UW Libraries proxy bookmarklet to verify yourself from the resource, instead of going back through a HealthLinks webpage to start the proxy server.
To install the bookmarklet, go to the Connecting to UW Restricted Online Resources page, scroll down to the section on the proxy bookmarklet, and follow the instructions. See the Connecting page for additional information on the bookmarklet and for other proxy-related questions.
For problems with your UW NetId, contact UW Computing by email at help@cac.washington.edu or call 206.543.5970.
Work Smart, Save Time Ask Us! Contact your library liaison, call the Information Desk at 206.543.3390 or use the Ask Us! button on most healthLinks pages.
