Last Week to Exchange Copy/Print Cards

Do you still have a Copico Northwest copy/print card? These have been replaced with Jamex copy/print cards. You must transfer the balance on your old card to a new card before February 1, 2007. Simply stop by the HSL Cashier (M-F 8 am - 4:50 pm) to make the transfer.

Jamex print/copy cards may be purchased from vending machines inside the HSL for $1 and then revalued for any amount up to $25. Cards may be charged to UW budget numbers at the HSL Cashier's office. If you have any questions, please contact the library cashier at 206.221.7481 or send email to hsl at u.washington.edu.

STATSnetBase Trial

We need your feedback on STATSnetBASE: Statistical Sciences Online, a product the UW Libraries is considering for purchase. Please take a look and submit your feedback using the HSL comments form.

This trial will run until February 10, 2007.

STATSnetBASE is a collection of approximately 120 online reference books on statistics and probability published by CRC press. The books are organized into categories including biostatistics, statistics for psychology, social science & law, statistical theories & methods, and statistics for biological sciences.

You can browse titles by category, or do keyword searches for books on specific topics using the search screen (www.statsnetbase.com/ejournals/search/advsearch.asp). Once you find the description of a book you’d like to view, click on the “Read it Online!” link to view the table of contents. Then click on the hyperlinked chapter titles in the PDF that opens to navigate through the book.

Thank you for your time and feedback.
